HARVEST NOTES
Our small blocks of Gew and Riesling are basically side-by-side so they’ve basically grown up together and blending them just felt right. An incredibly slow but long growing season and beautiful weather at harvest also gave us the flexibility to harvest on our own terms, resulting in a blend that is classically proportioned and rich with complexity (aka: delicious).
WINEMAKER’S NOTES
The bold acidity of the Riesling and the freshness of the Gew, join forces in the fight against monotony. The fruit was just the right amount of ripe and slightly lower in acidity than previous vintages making it easy to work with (we just love it when the grapes can get along). The secret sauce? 30% aromatic Riesling, 70% glorious Gew.
TASTING NOTES
This wine is summer in a bottle. Citrus and floral notes on the nose, hints of pineapple and lemon on the palate, and a crisp and almost melon-like finish make this wine more of an experience than just a drink. Pairs well with sushi, pork, grilled peaches, and seafood. Also, easy to share so find yourself a friend (with a boat).
